Who am i inspired by?

When people ask who inspires me most, I find it difficult to give a single name.

My Druid writing has grown from many roots. I am inspired by Pelagius and Celestius, who reminded people of the dignity, responsibility, and potential within the human soul. I am inspired by Isaac Bonewits and the modern Druid revival, which showed that ancient traditions can still speak to the modern world. I am inspired by scholars and collectors such as Eugene O’Curry, Alexander Carmichael, and Iolo Morganwg, who preserved stories, prayers, poems, and customs that might otherwise have been lost.

Beyond them, I find inspiration in the old liturgies of East and West, the Vedic and Zoroastrian traditions, the wisdom of the Rishis, the poetry of Rumi, the mythological insights of Joseph Campbell, and the countless unnamed bards, monks, druids, and storytellers whose voices still echo through the centuries.

If there is a common thread among them all, it is this: each, in their own way, carried a small flame through the darkness and passed it on. My own work is simply an attempt to receive that flame with gratitude and carry it a little farther down the road.
